Help honor Tim Born's final wishes

Dear friends and family,

It's with a heavy heart that I share my dad, Tim Born—affectionately known as "Tiki Tim"—passed away unexpectedly on September 30th. Tim was a larger-than-life figure, known for his infectious laughter, wild stories, incredible woodworkings and unwavering love for fishing. My dad never knew a stranger, which likely explains the flood of posts I've been reading from the many people who have shared memories together, probably a few beers, or even a dance party.

Many have reached out and asked how to support our family at this time, which is where this page comes in. Unfortunately, Tim did not have arrangements or insurance in place for a circumstance such as this. The funds from this page will help us fulfill my dad's wishes and offset the costs associated with cremation, a remembrance plaque and travel to OBX to handle his affairs.

At this time, there will not be a formal memorial or funeral service.
