Contribute to Stella's Surgery Recovery

Hi Friends - As you all know, our girl Stella (or you may know her as Christine) made the admirable decision to go back to school to pursue a career in nursing and just graduated three weeks ago! I know that I share in the feeling that Stella is by far and beyond, one of my favorite people on the planet and I could not be MORE proud of her for making it through the past 3 years. Together we have had countless late-night conversations, pep talks, celebrations after tests passed, and tears of joy realizing that it's finally OVER!

However, as fate would have it, last night, the nurse became the patient after suffering a fall outside of her home. Stella broke her tibia and fibula and was rushed to the hospital. She will be getting surgery this week and has a very long road of recovery ahead of her.

The recovery process for a surgery like this will not allow Stella to work her regular job while studying for the upcoming NCLEX (nursing board exam). She will also have a great deal of medical care resulting in a significant financial burden for a recent grad student who cannot work. Although I know she may hate me for doing this, starting this Go Fund Me page is the least I can do from across the country. Years ago, someone did this for me, and the burden it took away was something I will forever be grateful for.

I hope you can pay it forward and contribute to her recovery. After all, she will be the new nurse in town, and I am sure you or someone you love will need her help in the future!! :)
