Contribute to Odins recovery and surgeries

Hi all - I am nervous to be putting this out into the world because it’s 100% my fault that I don’t finish setting up his insurance to cover him for these kinds of incidents and take the fault for not keeping him safe from this happening. But alas I can’t dwell on faults but do my best to help him heal and give my family the support they need through this hard time.

Yesterday our poor Odin was a little excited to visit a dog across the street as we were heading out to go for a hike adventure in the wilderness. I didn’t have him on his leash & normally he sticks around on our porch…he’s just a mega lover to all people, dogs and things really. So he was super excited and bolted to say hi.

As a result he got hit by a car that he almost avoided but sadly not. He has a fractured jaw and broke 15 teeth of which all the roots need to be extracted - and he will be without those teeth for the duration of his lifetime. He has a wire holding his jaw together and we are waiting for that to heal (hopefully with no complications) before removing the wire and extracting the roots. He has a gash on his leg and stitches to help him heal.

He’s undergone surgery already and will have to have 2 more procedures before we are out of the woods on this incident. I know we have the holidays coming up and the world is in a state of sadness, but any little support will help. We were due to travel overseas for the holidays as a family leaving our boy in good hands but that can no longer happen as he has been ordered to minimal play and movement (no zoomies - his favorite thing) no chew toys or bones. He has a follow up appointment in 4 weeks so it’s looking like our family won’t be able to be together for the holidays and I am going to have to cancel flights already paid for.

I am so incredibly grateful for any kind of support and love you have offered our family through this hard time and any time before. I am so grateful for all of you that love our Odin and can’t thank you enough for even taking the time to read this. The funds will be going towards his medical bill
