Contribute to Laurie's Funeral Expenses and Memorial

Laurie Salinas Westmoreland, age 45, passed away peacefully at her home in Clermont, Florida on May 24, 2025. Born on August 12, 1979 in Racine, Wisconsin.

Laurie is survived by her loving parents, Rosalinda (Salinas) Westmoreland and Robert Dennis Westmoreland; her siblings, Robert Salinas Westmoreland (wife Perla Crisostomo) and Amy Salinas Westmoreland; and her children: Isaiah Westmoreland (Goodwin), Julian Odell Westmoreland-Jones, Jaylen Odell Westmoreland-Jones, Ian Gonzalez, Devin Gonzalez, and Evelyn Rose Gonzalez. She was especially grateful to the Gonzalez family for their love and care in adopting and raising her three youngest children. She is also survived by numerous relatives including her aunts, uncles, nephews, and cousins.

Laurie was a kind and compassionate soul who deeply cared for her family, friends, and community. A 1997 graduate of Washington Park High School in Racine, she went on to earn her Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification from Gateway Technical College. She cared for and loved her family and she gave to her friends and community.

Laurie loved music, fashion, and had a great sense of humor. She brought so much joy to her family and provided care and support for her parents while living with them in Florida. Her warmth, laughter, and comforting hugs will be missed by all who knew her. Her legacy lives on in her children and in the memories she leaves behind.

A memorial service celebrating Laurie’s Life will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at Cremation Services 921 S US Hwy 27, Minneola, FL 34715. In lieu of flowers and gifts, you are welcome to make a donations to assist with funeral costs.
