Hi everyone, 

My name is Kait (they/he). I am a 26 year old trans person currently living on Awabakal Country with my beautiful partner and doggo. I am a public health student, poet, community organiser and equity and inclusion worker. 

Gender affirmation surgery is something that I have been working towards since I was 19 years old and now I finally have the opportunity on the 25th of March 2022 with Specialist Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Lisa Friederich.

Thankfully, I have saved the funds for my surgeons' fee but am seeking assistance for travel, accommodation (I will be on Gadigal Country for roughly a week post op) alongside the anaesthetist costs. 

Should I be so lucky to exceed my goal of $5,000AU, I will be donating those funds to Black Rainbow. Black Rainbow is a national Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex, Queer, Sistergirl and Brotherboy (LGBQTI+SB) organisation in the pursuit of positive health and wellbeing for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander LGBQTI+SB* Peoples.

Asking for help is super hard but I am so grateful to have the support of my loved ones and community at this transformative time.
