HIEM is a revolutionary independent economic model being built to confront global strategic problems, systemic crises, and the challenges of a rapidly changing world.

Many of these challenges cannot be solved in isolation. Economic activity connects people, institutions, resources, incentives, technologies, and production into systems where changes in one area can create consequences across many others.

HIEM proposes a different architecture for organizing economic activity — one that can be researched, modeled, tested, improved, and gradually implemented in practical environments.

This work is already underway.

HIEM already has public websites and digital infrastructure, working concepts for new economic institutions, experimental directions, and a growing ecosystem of related tools and projects.

The first major book of the project has already been published:

HIEM: Human Institutional Economic Model — Book 1. The Architecture of Economic Activity.

It lays out the foundational architecture of the model and forms the basis for further research, publications, experiments, digital systems, and practical testing.

But continuing this work requires resources.

HIEM has been developed independently since 2024, without external funding. This has allowed the project to follow its own direction rather than adapting itself to the priorities of governments, corporations, investors, universities, foundations, or other institutions. But it has also meant carrying the financial cost and workload ourselves.

That is why public support matters.

Public support gives the project more time and resources to continue working without giving up its independent direction.

Funds raised through this campaign will help support:

— continued HIEM research and development;

— development of the first virtual HIEM sandbox, an experimental environment where mechanisms of the model can be simulated, tested, compared, and improved;

— new books and research publications;

— new and improved versions of existing HIEM books and materials;

— development and maintenance of public websites, domains, servers, and other digital infrastructure;

— development of tools, documentation, experimental systems, and other parts of the HIEM ecosystem;

— further practical environments where HIEM mechanisms can be tested against real economic activity.

The first fundraising goal is €3,000.

This amount is not intended to finance the entire future of HIEM. It is a practical working reserve to maintain what has already been created and continue research, development, publishing, infrastructure, and experimentation.

The goal now is straightforward: keep the existing work moving while expanding the parts of HIEM that must be tested, developed, and connected into a functioning economic model.

We would not be asking for help now if we could continue carrying this project entirely on our own.

Since 2024, HIEM has been built by a small group of enthusiasts who have invested their own time, skills, creativity, and personal resources into studying, designing, developing, and building the project.

After carrying this load for more than two years, our resources and capacity are becoming increasingly strained. We are asking for support now to help keep HIEM moving and give us enough room to reach the next stage of its development.

We are looking for support from people who care about the future of human civilization, the future of the individual, and the challenges humanity is likely to face in the years ahead.

We care about those things too. That is one of the reasons HIEM exists.
