Destiny’s Story - Her kindness, warmth, and beautiful spirit left an impression on everyone she met. However, she lived without knowing what was wrong with her health. It wasn’t until she was 18 that doctors finally diagnosed her with diabetes. Then her kidneys began to fail and she had to begin dialysis (a constant and daily struggle) and eventually vision declined.

Yet, she never gave up and continued to push herself to make her dreams come true. Her heart was set on becoming a nurse to help others, especially children. As time passed, it became harder and harder to keep up with her studies and she had to stop her dreams of nursing school. It never stopped her from fighting everyday. She held on to faith that she would one day get better, live a full life, return to school, and fulfill her dream of caring for others. She was a ray of light even on the darkest of days.
