Hello,

This fundraiser is put on my the Communist Party of Washington state, and is for the purpose of sending a delegation of two members to Cyprus in late June/early July. One member is of the CPUSA Eastern Washington club, and the other is from the CPUSA Irene Hull Club in Seattle.

The delegation will attend a three-day youth festival, and tour various parts of the island. The delegation will also visit with many union leaders, to include the AKEL, the Cyprian Communist Party who all play a leading role in the union federation.

The big catch, hence the reason of this GoFundMe, is that the cost of the plane fare will have to be done by the delegate(s) plus whatever this GoFundMe can raise. The ticket will likely cost somewhere in the neighborhood of $1,000 to $1,500. Delegates will also have to have some money for food and incidentals.

This will be a a great experience for our members to go on such a visit, and previous delegates (the "Hello Comrade program, which this is a part of) have said it changed their lives. We are elated with this opportunity to send two members to Cyprus this summer.

We greatly appreciate any funds that can go into paying for airfare and food.
