My name is Deirdre Nunan, and I'm a Canadian orthopaedic surgeon. This fundraiser is on behalf of my friend Ibrahim, who I've known for the last five years. He and his family live in Gaza. These are his words:

I am Ibrahim-Al-Khair Al-Khozondar, 33, a university graduate. This year, my apartment, our family home, and all my sisters homes were destroyed. Now I am the sole breadwinner for the family, but my income is but a drop in the ocean in front of the situation that we are facing, and considering my family big number of members, I cannot cover the needs.
