Asalamu Alikum Wa Rahmatulahi Wa Barakatuh,
Sadly, our beloved Sheikh Nabil Zahr passed away on Monday March 8th, 2021. Sheikh Nabil has dedicated a majority of his life teaching the Quran and Sunnah and was always found around the clock at the masjid leading prayer, holding lectures or in the assistance of the community. As a member of the weekly lectures and lessons I benefited and continue to benefit greatly from the masjid along with many sisters and brothers.
It was the sheikh's greatest wish to see that the debt of the Masjid be removed entirely before Ramadan and unfortunately he passed away before this can be done. Allah (subhanahu wa tala) is very generous and has not let death mean a disconnection from good deeds. We are seeking your aid and assistance to grant him that wish, and we ask Allah to make this sadaqah a means of light and comfort in his grave.
The funds will be used for outstanding debt and bills it has incurred in the previous years.
