Continuing Lorri's Passion for Foster Care

Since second grade when Lorri's life was profoundly impacted by a classmate, which she would later learn was a foster child, Lorri has had a desire to make a difference in foster children's lives.

Lorri vowed then, at that tender age, one day she would become a foster parent and make the world a better place for at least one child. As an adult, when she committed to David for marriage, she made it very clear to him this was not only her goal but her calling.

Together, David and Lorri embarked on a life changing experience with Kern County foster services. During the years that followed, David and Lorri fostered many, many children, providing a home and shelter, but most importantly love and a family; if even for a short period of time.

This journey led them to complete their family with the adoption of three of their children.

In her memory the family would like to continue her calling. Donations made will be presented to Miriam Jamison Children's Center in Bakersfield, California.
