Continuing Dom’s Path: Support Future Innovators Today!

Dom came to America from Ghana at the age of 16. He needed to work to earn money and he tested out of most High School classes. He took the advice of a GED advisor and pursued his GED whilst delivering medical devices late at night and early mornings on the NYC subway. The stories he had! He went on his alternative path, passed his GED at 17, and started a community college in Harlem NY. Ironically, I was starting college classes in at Saint Peter’s College also at age 17 having finished high school classes early too in Jersey City having no idea we would one day meet!
3 semesters into his community college experience, he transferred to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy NY, a top US Engineering school and graduated in 1995 with a 3.8 in Electrical Engineering! Dom spent his summers at MIT labs as a recruited intern. Before graduation he was recruited by Accenture, then Andersen Consulting. It is there that we met and the rest is history! Dom went on to receive his Master’s in Information Systems from Steven Institute of Technology, Hoboken NJ; after our two sons were born. Today his graduation pictures and degrees grace our son’s desks to remind them of his educational love and prowess. Our eldest son is now a Junior studying Entrepreneurship, yeah! Our youngest son studies at a great high school and is on track to make his mark academically and on the basketball court. We recorded these videos of them at their Christian military camp before they went off the grid for a part of their summers; becoming men! We hope you will support Dom’s visionary scholarship fund and continue his legacy of scholarship!
I’d love to say we met our goals when they resurface in August from the woods! Almost $60,000 raised to date, 20 students supported over the past 8 years, 12 have graduated colleges most in the sciences! YEAR 9! This year our GOAL is $9000 and yes you guessed it $10,000 next year for the 10th anniversary of Dom’s passing! Thanks for your support over the years. We need you again this year! This is the only time in a year that or family will ask you for money! We are planning to support 3 students this year as they head off to college and conquer the world! Views and likes are nice, but HONESTLY we prefer a donation, any amount will do, no amount is too small! You don’t have to leave a tip!
