Ja'zaire is a wonderful third grade student in Oakland Unified School District and  a caring and kind big brother. He loves exploring and learning new things, however Ja'zaire's frustrating experience with reading is beginning to impact his confidence as a learner. We are raising funds to send Ja'zaire to a summer reading program at the Raskob Institute, an educational therapy program. 

The Raskob Institute is an educational therapy program that meets one hour each day for two weeks. It is a one-on-one experience with credentialed teachers and educational therapists. I believe this program will help Ja'zaire and his family discover the best strategies for his learning. At the beginning of the school year our class set goals, Ja'zaire's goal was to learn to read so that he could read books to his baby brother.
