Continue to Help John Ross Fight Cancer
Last November, our daddy was diagnosed with a deadly blood cancer called Multiple Myeloma. Our friends and family rallied together in prayer and financial support to help as he and our step-mom Jo navigated the best steps to take to fight for his life. We can’t thank you enough for your support. It means the world to us all.
In addition to working with the doctors on a solid medical plan, Dad and Jo instantly shifted to a whole food vegan diet free of sugar, gluten, dairy, corn, soy, caffeine, and alcohol. After dads first 6 cycles of chemo, and the nutrition change, we are all very encouraged with his results. Dad is thin, but getting stronger every day. His sarcastic and punchy personality that we all love has never changed throughout this whole process.
After months of research on alternative approaches to healing cancer, he opted out of another round of chemo. Dad has been thriving with the nutrition and supplementation lifestyle changes, and is excited and hopeful for these new treatments to get him into remission! He is still under careful observation of his Oncologist to get labs every two weeks and monitor his blood markers (which have been remaining steady).
Some of the alternative treatments they’ve opted for include PEMF (Pulsed Electro Magnetic Field), Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, Acupuncture, and even Research Genetic Cancer Centre (R.G.C.C.) testing and therapy with a Doctor out of Georgia. There is so much research showing that fighting cancer isn’t just about surviving, it’s about healing your body.
Yes, our dad is still employed and has insurance. He’s the hardest working man we know. Unfortunately none of these alternative therapies are covered by insurance (super frustrating) and are extremely expensive. For example, the R.G.C.C. alone will be over $25k.
While our dad is fighting for his life, we don’t want him to have to think about things like selling their house to pay for treatment. There are too many of us who care about dad and Jo. We feel like it’s time for us all to rally around them and help support them financially once more.
Will you consider donating and sharing this story to those around you?
Thank you for taking the time to read all of this. It means the world to us to have friends and family like you. Love you all!!
