I've been doing art since I could hold a crayon. I knew that I was going to be an artist for years. It's something I really can't avoid, no matter what I try to do it all goes back to art.
I fell in love with Maine College of Art in my freshman year of high school. I knew that's where I needed to be. Flash forward to my freshman year of college at MECA and it's been the best thing I've ever done.
Now I never did very well in high school. Never made honor roll, but also never failed a class! Which is a personal victory, because I was close sometimes. I graduated with 2.4 GPA. Now at MECA I'm doing better than I ever have before. Now I have a 3.5 GPA and didn't get below a B.
Now that grades aren't a real problem, the universe decided I need another challenge. My little sister, Cat, who is 9 years old is in the hospital. Also FAFSA didn't help very much. They estimated the family contribution at less than $4,000, which is how much we should be able to afford to pay....but for some reason we were left with over $19,000 needed. Which makes paying for my college classes a lot harder. Without my bill paid, I can't go back to school. So I need a some help to stay at the most amazing place in the world. If there is anything that you could give to help me stay in school. I would really appreciate the help. It would also take some stress off my family's mind. Much love Piper
