Dear Loving Community:

Consuelo’s joy and energy, loving presence and warmth are missed so much. We all feel a profound loss, but also gratitude for the precious time she shared with us in this life.

Many of you have asked how you can help. I have organized this memorial fund to support Consuelo’s husband, Richard, and her son, Karl.

In the months leading up to Consuelo’s passing, Richard was able to work less and less in order to care for her at home, and she was unable to work at all. Meanwhile, costs related to her comfort and care steadily increased.

A gift in any amount will help Consuelo’s family to recover from that lost income, to pay for current day-to-day living expenses and funeral costs, and to ease the transition to a new life based on Richard’s sole income, once he returns to full-time work.

We hope to raise enough to cover their current needs and help them through the next few months, and to allow Karl to continue to pursue his art training (he is a prodigiously talented visual artist) and other educational opportunities.
