El Programa Integral de Agricultura Regenerativa es un proceso por y para la soberanía alimentaria y el buen vivir de las comunidades. Integra los aspectos técnicos, socioeconómicos y políticos culturales de la región. Impulsando así prácticas y saberes agroecológicos en el quehacer campesino y los mercados locales.
Trabajamos desde tres pilares:
• Escuela de agroecología
Talleres técnicos teórico prácticos sobre agroecología, agricultura orgánica, permacultura, agroforestería, administración agropecuaria, entre otros.
• Manos Cambiadas
Acompañamiento técnico y de mano de obra en fincas locales.
• Programa de voluntariado
Programa de voluntariado educativo e inmersivo en fincas familiares locales agroecológicas.
Hemos trabajado desde el 2020 con las comunidades de Puerto Jiménez acompañando, apoyando y fortaleciendo la agroecología, en el 2022 iniciamos oficialmente con el PIAR y para el 2024 esperamos iniciar a trabajar con comunidades de Golfito, y otras vecinas del Golfo Dulce.
La Escuelita de Agroecología para Niños y Niñas es un programa anual que se desarrolla cada año con un grupo de una comunidad distinta. Realizamos al rededor de 9 talleres por año más un encuentro de graduación, en donde los y las niás reciben un título de "Guardianxs de las Semillas y la naturaleza".
Los talleres que se desarrollan son:
• Conociendo el suelo: La fábrica de la vida
Taller sobre la importancia y las características físicas, biológicas y químicas del suelo.
• Protegiendo al Golfo Dulce de los Agrovenenos
Taller sobre los impactos de la agricultura convencional sobre los ecosistemas acuáticos.
• Abonos y pociones mágicas para las plantas.
Taller sobre bioinsumos naturales y orgánicos para la agricultura.
• Nuestros amigos los Polinizadores
Taller sobre la importancia de los polinizadores para la soberanía alimentaria.
• Olores y sabores de la finca: comida y medicina
Taller sobre plantas comestibles y medicinales.
• Los abuelos de la finca: los árboles
Taller sobre la importancia de los árboles en los agroecosistemas.
• Cosechando y procesando: de la finca a la mesa
Taller sobre procesamiento y elaboración de alimentos y preparados medicinales.
• Diseñando los jardines desde la creatividad
Taller sobre el diseño de huertas circulares.
• Creación de jardínes circulares
Elaboración de una huerta circular.
• Construyendo mi biofábrica
Elaboración de bioinsumos naturales y orgánicos para la huerta circular.
La Escuelita de Agroecología para Niños y Niñas comenzó en el 2022, hemos trabajado con 3 grupos de niños y niñas de 3 comunidades distintas. En el 2024 esperamos iniciar un proceso de continuidad en las comunidades con los grupos con quienes hemos trabajado previamente.
Los encuentros ecofeministas de mujeres del Golfo Dulce los realizamos con el fin de propiciar un espacio seguro e inclusivo en donde las mujeres del Golfo Dulce de distintos contextos sociales, económicos, culturales, para que puedan tejer redes de apoyo y solidaridad mientras se problematizan, colectivizan y sanan las violencias sistémicas que nos atraviesan.
Los encuentros se desarrollan a través de procesos participativos que involucran el arte, la música, el movimiento, la espiritualidad o la mística, la celebración, el ejercicio, el descanso en la naturaleza y los alimentos.
En los encuentros las mujeres se identifican unas con otras desde las alegrías, las pérdidas, las violencias, las historias, las recetas… y desde el autoconocimiento y la revalorización de las identidades se germinan redes donde las mujeres pueden tejer soluciones colectivas, y así es como sanando una sanamos todas.
Desde el 2020 al 2023 hemos realizado más de 10 encuentros de mujeres en donde han participado mujeres de todas las comunidades de Puerto Jiménez, todas las comunidades de Bahía Drake, mujeres del Territorio Indígena Ngäbe Alto Laguna, artistas locales, nacionales e internacionales presentando música, danza, poesía, teatro y demostraciones deportivas.
Inicialmente los encuentros se realizaban solamente en Bahía Drake en donde asistían mujeres de las comunidades de Bahía Drake, en el 2022 realizamos el primer encuentro abierto para mujeres de todo el Golfo Dulce en donde se encontraron mujeres de Puerto Jiménez y Bahía Drake, y en el primer encuentro del 2023 se logró la convocatoria de más de 100 mujeres de Puerto Jiménez, Bahía Drake y del Territorio Indígena Ngäbe Alto Laguna, en agosto tendremos el segundo encuentro del 2023 y esperamos contar también con una comitiva de diferentes comunidades de la Regiòn Brunca.
En los encuentros también se pretende dinamizar la economía de las mujeres emprendedoras de las distintas comunidades, para esto se facilita un espacio para que se lleve a cabo un Mercado en donde las mujeres venden, compran y truekean productos.
Nuestra meta es realizar al menos tres encuentros anuales en tres distintas comunidades del Golfo Dulce , convocar a mujeres de todo el Golfo Dulce y otras partes de Costa Rica y contar con el presupuesto necesario para pagar transporte, alimentación, hospedaje y honorarios para artistas.
Intentamos tejer puentes entre entre el feminismo, el ecologismo, la naturaleza y los territorios que nos permitan mirar de manera más completa y más sensible el mundo... Queremos soñar en común y hacer lo común desde diversas miradas e historias. MAPEANDO EL CUERPO-TERRITORIO

¿Cómo puedes apoyar a Biriteca Agroecológica?
• Donaciones de dinero, nuestros gastos de operación anuales son de aproximadamente $50.000 que cubren:

The Regenerative Agriculture Program is a process for food sovereignty strengthening and improving the quality of life in rural comunitties of Golfo Dulce. It integrates the technical, socioeconomic and cultural political aspects of the region. Thus promoting agroecological practices and knowledge in peasant activities and local markets.
We work from three pillars:
• Agroecology School
Practical theoretical technical workshops on agroecology, organic agriculture, permaculture, agroforestry, agricultural administration, among others held in local farms.
• Hands Exchange
Technical support and labor support in local farms.
• Volunteer program
Educational and immersive volunteer program on local agro ecological family farms.
We have worked since 2020 with the communities of Puerto Jiménez accompanying, supporting and strengthening agroecology. In 2022 we officially started with PIAR and by 2024 we hope to start working with communities in Golfito and other neighboring Golfo Dulce.
The Agroecology School for kids is an annual program that is develope each year with a group from a different community. We carry out around 9 workshops per year plus a graduation meeting, where the kids receive a title of "Nature and Seed Guardians".
The workshops topics are:
• Understanding the soil: The factory of life
Workshop on the importance and physical, biological and chemical characteristics of the soil.
• Protecting the Golfo Dulce from pesticides
Workshop on the impacts of conventional agriculture on aquatic ecosystems of the Golfo Dulce
• Organic fertilizers and magic potions for plants.
Workshop on natural and organic bio-inputs for agriculture.
• Our friends the Pollinators
Workshop on the importance of pollinators for food sovereignty.
• Smells and flavors of the farm: food and medicine
Workshop on edible and medicinal plants.
• The elders of the farm: the trees
Workshop on the importance of trees in agroecosystems.
• Harvesting and processing: from farm to table
Workshop on processing and preparation of food and medicinal preparations.
• Designing gardens from creativity
Workshop on the design of circular gardens.

The Agroecology for kids began in 2022, we have worked with 3 groups of boys and girls from 3 different communities. In 2024 we hope to start a continuity process in the communities with the groups with whom we have previously worked.
The ecofeminist meetings of women from Golfo Dulce are carried out in order to promote a safe and inclusive space where women from Golfo Dulce from different social, economic, and cultural contexts, can weave networks of support and solidarity while problematizing, collectivizing and healing the systemic violence that crosses us.
The meetings are developed through participatory processes that involve art, music, movement, spirituality or mysticism, celebration, exercise, rest in nature and food.
In the meetings, women identify with each other from joys, losses, violence, stories, recipes... and from self-knowledge and the revaluation of identities, networks are germinated where women can weave collective solutions, and that's how it is. As healing one we heal all.
From 2020 to 2023 we have held more than 10 women's meetings in which women from all the communities of Puerto Jiménez, all the communities of Bahía Drake, women from the Ngäbe Alto Laguna Indigenous Territory, have participated, local, national and international artists had presented their music, dance, poetry, theater and sports habilities.
Initially the meetings were held only in Bahía Drake where women from the communities of Bahía Drake attended, in 2022 we held the first open meeting for women from all over the Golfo Dulce where women from Puerto Jiménez and Bahía Drake met, after that in the first meeting of 2023, we achieved to gather more than 100 women from Puerto Jiménez, Bahía Drake and the Ngäbe Alto Laguna Indigenous Territory.
In August we will have the second meeting of 2023 and we hope to also receive a delegation from different communities of the Brunca Region of women that are part of the Rural Womens Netwrok of Costa Rica.
The meetings also seek to boost the economy of the women entrepreneurs of the different communities, for this: a space is provided for a Market to be carried out where women sell, buy and exchange products.
Our goal is to hold at least three annual meetings in three different communities in the Golfo Dulce, convene women from all over the Golfo Dulce and other parts of Costa Rica, and have the necessary budget to pay for transportation, food, lodging, and fees for artists.
We try to build bridges between feminism, environmentalism, nature and the territories that allow us to look more fully and more sensitively at the world... We want to dream in common and do the common from different perspectives and stories. MAPPING THE BODY-TERRITORY
How can you support Biriteca Agroecologica?
• Monetary donations, our annual operating, expenses are approximately $50,000 which cover:
