We are launching a humanitarian initiative to build a modern sanitary block (toilets, showers, and handwashing facilities) for more than 50 elderly residents (aged 60 and above) living in a care home (asile) in Les Cayes, Haiti.
These seniors, who deserve dignity, safety, and care, currently face limited or inadequate sanitation conditions, which directly impact their health, hygiene, and quality of life.
⚠️ The Problem
Many elderly residents struggle with mobility and require safe and accessible sanitation facilities
Existing conditions increase risks of:
infections
poor hygiene
loss of dignity
Lack of proper infrastructure affects both physical health and emotional well-being.
️ The Solution:
This project consists of constructing a fully functional sanitary block for men and women, including:
Toilets (W.C.)
Showers (douches)
Handwashing stations
Water supply and plumbing system
Septic tank and drainage system
Safe, durable roofing and structure
Proper ventilation and lighting
The architectural layout (see plan document) includes separate male and female facilities, ensuring privacy and accessibility
The façade and structure are designed for durability and climate resistance, adapted to local conditions.
