Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh

My dear father, Haji Mohammed Akhtar, sadly passed away during the blessed month of Ramadan after a prolonged battle with cancer - may Allah SWT bless his soul with the highest station in the hereafter, ameen.

It was my father's wish to help construct a much-needed extension to a masjid in his ancestral village of Jalgali, Pakistan. The current facilities aren't big enough for the local community. The project is expected to cost £5,000, insha-Allah.

I will personally ensure the project is completed with the help of trusted members of my family on the ground and will keep you updated on its progress, insha-Allah.

"I heard the Messenger of Allah (saw) say: 'Whoever builds a masjid (mosque) in which the Name of Allah is mentioned, Allah will build a house for him in Paradise.'" (Sahih)
