Hello, my name is Jacqueline Mateo, and I have created this fundraiser for my grandfather, Constantino Cruz. This fundraiser would help my family with funeral expenses.

He passed away on October 22nd and in January of 2024 it would have been his 3rd year of being in a nursing home. He suffered his 3rd stroke in January of 2021, which left his right side completely paralyzed, and had to be fed through a feeding tube. Unfortunately, he was not able to recover his speech or movement on his right side and a few months back, his health began to decline. My family and I witnessed his suffering and the pain he endured.

On a more positive note, those that knew my grandfather knew he was a hard working man. He moved here from Mexico for a better life and worked in the Santa Monica area as a handyman for many years. He was always smiling, laughing, and joking around with family and friends. He also helped out others as much as he could.
