Hi Everyone,

I reach out with a heavy heart on behalf of my dad, Dan Fisher, gentle grandfather, loving father, and groundskeeper living alone in a small mobile home in Live Oak, Florida. Last night, Hurricane Helene, (Category 4) tore through his community, leaving him and millions of Americans affected. Fortunately, my dad evacuated and is safe, but his home and all of his belongings are gone. The winds forcefully flipped his home and it caved in, leaving an unrecognizable pile of rubble in its wake. The destruction has been overwhelming, and he is now facing the immense challenge of rebuilding his life from scratch.

Anyone who knows my dad knows that he is hardworking, faithful, and resilient, but this has been a devastating shock. With his home destroyed and most of his possessions gone, he is struggling to find a way forward. My dad isn’t one to ask for help, but at this point, he needs the support of family, friends and community to carry him through this disaster.

We are hoping to raise funds to help my Dad with immediate needs like temporary housing, clothing, food, and eventually, rebuilding his home. Every donation, no matter the size, is a step forward in his story.
