Consider helping Kavon's road to recovery
Donation protected

I’m setting up this go fund me to help offset medical costs for my 10-year-old nephew, Kavon Stovall. It is not in our nature to ask for help, but my brother’s family is in a crisis and this is a way to help them get the best possible care for Kavon.
Kavon was in a terrible accident last week but is going to be ok. He was walking his dog with his Dad, my brother Justin, in a grassy field near their house. Their dog pulled away and ran to a nearby railroad track. Kavon ran over to catch him and as he reached to get the leash, the train began to move. It ran over his left hand and he had to have all four fingers and part of his hand amputated. The hospital in Missoula, MT quickly flew him to Seattle, WA to a wonderful hospital for his first surgery and he’s getting great care right now as he begins his recovery. It will be a long road and future surgeries and therapies will be needed which is why I’m reaching out.
Kavon is an incredible kid and our family knows his determined spirit will get him through as he recovers. He loves all sports but is especially impressive at skateboarding, skiing and soccer. He’s on his school robotics team, is wicked smart and can make us all laugh. He is being so brave and strong. We predict we will be marveling at all he will accomplish. He is surrounded by love and support and we thank God that we still have him.
He has had two surgeries so far, his third will be Monday and there will be at least one more in three weeks and possibly more after that for the complicated skin grafting process. If you feel inclined, any donation will help them with medical and travel costs in Seattle and benefit Kavon’s recovery.
Sincerely,
Kristin (Stovall) Pereira
