Westival Radio helping the Welsh Conservation Effort!

We are a team of 4 Ellie, Lucy, Vanessa and Marley who are running a pop up radio station at Westival, a music festival taking place from 6-10 June 2024 in Manorbier in Pembrokeshire, Wales.

Our radio programming will focus on conservation and the environment and we will be advertising to local and national media outlets to raise awareness of both charities, and of our programming schedule! We will be creating a stand alone piece of journalism that will be uploaded, promoted and listened back afterwards.

We are aiming to raise a grand total of £5000 that can be split between the following two welsh conservation charities:

The Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales who support the local environment including running a wildlife centre in Cardigan Bay - https://www.welshwildlife.org/

and

The Pembrokeshire Coast Charitable Trust, who work to engage local communities with conservation projects - https://pembrokeshirecoasttrust.wales/

And

LION - An organisation that exists to increase people of colour's access to green spaces, which in turn makes conservation work much more open to a diverse population, meaning more and more people can join the fight to protect the environment and the fight against racism. https://landinournames.community/who-we-are
