Conscious Compassion - For Canines

Donation protected
As a fellow dog owner and lover, I was heartbroken to hear that thousands of dogs and cats are brutally tortured and eaten in Yulin, China every year during a 10-day stretch in June. And yes, sadly it's scheduled to continue on as planned this summer.

What's even worse is that many of the animals transported to The Yulin Dog Meat Festival are pets that have been snatched off of the street near their family homes... still wearing their collars.

Once they arrive in their cramped cages (if they don't succumb to any injuries received in transit) they are slaughtered in heinous ways in open markets and, shockingly enough, sometimes next to elementary schools.

If you, like me, know that this brutality needs to end, join me in taking a stand for canine compassion.

Funds will go to Conscious Compassion, a not-for-profit dedicated to:

Rescue:

Costs incurred from rescuing and transporting just 1 dog from China can be upwards of $1000

Rehabilitation:

Many dogs rescued from the dog meat trade have experienced severe physical and psychological trauma. They often require medical and behavioural attention.

Rehoming:

Expenses for supplies such as food, toys, crates, and leashes.

Rescue Centre:

The main obstacle we face with rescuing as many dogs as possible is that we simply do not have enough foster homes to place these dogs. With the creation of a rescue centre, we will be able to save hundreds of dogs and ensure that they have a safe place to sleep before getting adopted off into a loving family.

Education:

In order to encourage future generations to nurture relationships with each other, animals, and the environment, we are working on developing educational programs which we intend to have implemented in schools across North America and China.

These courses will be offered to school children between K - Grade 12 and will include subjects relating to but not limited to emotional intelligence, communication, environmental science and animal behaviour. Courses will be facilitated by trained instructors and will be offered in step-by-step modules for each age group.

Thank you for your continued support! Together we can save thousands of lives and shift towards a more compassionate future.

Warmly,

The Conscious Compassion Team
