My name is Ronya and a little over a year ago I started a small animal rescue group, Conscious Animal Rescue, after fostering dogs and cats for two years.

I'm based near Alvaiázere, Central Portugal, and take in animals in need. I do all this on my own and all the animals I foster live in my home with me and my dogs and cats. After they are well I do my best to find them good and responsible forever homes. All the dogs and cats are delivered neutered (if old enough), chipped and vaccinated.

These last year I have fostered around 40 animals ❤️

At the moment I have 5 dogs and 6 cats under my care, all still hoping to find there forever homes. Some need life long medication, others have behavioural problems due to past life experience and need professional help, and other have been waiting for over a year to be adopted.

I do not see myself as a victim of circumstances, I do it because I like doing it and I feel my best when I'm helping them. I help when I can, so that I can provide the best care for all of them, this includes high quality food, neutering, chip, vaccines and obviously any other treatment they may need.

But sometimes I just can't look away even though I know I don't have enough donations. This is what happened with Ria, a cat that was starving and in late turn pregnancy that gave birth to 5 kittens.

So it has been difficult to cover the cost lately and that is why I need your help, if you can't donate please share
