On Sunday 28th September, we’re coming together for the second annual Truck and Tractor run in memory of Conor browne, a day that means so much to everyone who knew and loved him, celebrating his love for lorries and tractors.

What started as a tribute has grown into something truly special, a fun-filled day bringing the whole community together. It’s a way of keeping Conor’s memory alive and helping raise money for two amazing charities. We’re asking for your support, whether you’re joining the run, donating, or helping spread the word. Every donation, no matter how small, makes a real difference.

Our Charities of Choice ⭐️

✨REVIVE ✨

REVIVE supports the work of the Regional Intensive Care Unit (RICU) and High Dependency Unit in the Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast. The money raised to support REVIVE is used to purchase vital equipment, improve facilities and services for patients and their families, and to fund research and development projects.

Conor was transferred to RICU and spent his final days under the care of a highly professional and experienced team. Despite their efforts and expertise, Conor did not recover from his injuries. As a family, we will be forever grateful to all the staff for the compassionate and dignified way in which they cared for Conor. To this day the memories from this time are heartbreaking and hard to bear, but we will never forget how the staff went over and above to not only care for Conor, but to provide comfort and support to his family during the most devasting time of our lives.

As much as we never want anyone to experience what we went through in those few days, unfortunately no one knows what is around the corner, therefore it is so important that these services continue to be there for others who may find themselves in similar unimaginable circumstances. Supporting REVIVE is our way of honouring Conor’s memory and help to ensure that other families continue to benefit from the care, support and comfort that we were shown.

✨Air Ambulance NI ✨

Air Ambulance NI is a charity organisation that works in partnership with the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) to provide the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service for our region. On average, the team are needed twice every single day. Within just minutes, they can be airborne and delivering critical interventions at the scene which often mean the difference between life and death.

Each day, Air Ambulance NI requires over £8,000 to operate, as it is a charity organisation they receive no government funding and rely solely on donations and fundraising from our community.

Sadly, because Air Ambulance NI currently only has enough funding to operate 12 hours a day (7am–7pm), they were unable to assist Conor on the night of his attack. We will never know if the outcome would have been different had they been available — but what we do know is that this service has already saved countless lives and spared many families from enduring the loss that we now live with.

This is why we feel so passionately about supporting this vital lifeline. With greater funding, Air Ambulance NI could extend their operating hours and help even more people in their time of need. By fundraising in Conor’s name, we hope to contribute towards maintaining and growing this essential service, ensuring that other families have the chance for a different outcome.
