From Liz and Pat:
Conor is our 3 month old baby boy. We came to Children's Hospital on Sunday 2/5 when Conor was congested and having some mild difficulty breathing. We have been here since and have had a diagnosis of Pulmonary Artery Sling and Tracheal Stenosis. Both are treatable, but require surgery. Pulmonary Artery Sling is a condition where one of the pulmonary arteries runs behind the trachea. This can put pressure on the trachea and cause difficulty breathing.
He also has tracheal stenosis. This is a narrowing of the trachea that can make it difficult to breathe and this is what was making it hard to ventilate him.
Finally Conor has Multicystic dysplastic kidney that was diagnosed in utero. This added a few additional complications as we progressed through treatment.
