Conor’s Story

To anyone who knows Conor, riding mountain bikes isn't just a hobby, it’s his passion, freedom and absolute life. Whether riding local trails in and around Inverness or competing at Scottish downhill and Enduros, it’s what he enjoyed the most.

On the 25th of July Conor’s life changed in a blink of an eye. A very serious mountain bike crash left him paralysed from just above the waist down. He had broken his T8 & T9 in his back, 3 ribs and also 3 vertebraes in his neck.

The months following the incident have required unbelievable strength, resilience, and character from him. While the injury changed his physical reality, it didn't change his spirit or love for the sport.

We are launching this campaign to raise funds for a Bowhead Reach which is an incredible, highly specialized adaptive electric mountain bike.

Since standard bikes are no longer an option, the Bowhead Reach will allow Conor to ride the trails he has always loved. Being on the trails with his pals is what he has always enjoyed the most.

Why We Need Your Help

Adaptive mountain bikes such as the Bowhead Reach come at a massive cost. Between the custom setup required for Conor’s specific needs and also the cost of shipping. The total target is to get him back on the trails. A bowhead reach can range from around £17,000–£22,000

We want to give him back the ability to participate in the sport that meant everything to him before this accident. Any donation no matter the amount brings Conor one step closer to getting back on the trails.

If you aren't able to contribute financially, it would be greatly appreciated if you could share this page, this would mean the world to us.

Thanks to everyone for your kindness, support and helping Conor do what he has always loved.
