Conor Morgan Perpetual Trophy
Donation protected
The Conor Morgan Perpetual Trophy first took place in 2019, in memory of a young man taken too soon. Unfortunately the Covid19 pandemic halted this becoming an annual event, but we promised Conors family that we would keep his memory alive with this tournament.
Thankfully we are back in 2023 to keep this primise, but tragically, since Conors passing, two more young men from the same friend circle as Conor, have since passed away. Ryan "Twinky" McArdle passed away suddenly in November 2019, and Sean Maguire lost his battle with cancer in August of 2021.
The three lads are forever remembered by their family, local community, and especially in their close circle of friends, who have been through so much in a short space of time.
With this tournament, we will celebrate the lives of the three lads, whilst also raising as much money as possible for our nominated charities. The chosen charities for 2023 are the Laura Lynn children's hospice, and the 'Do it for Dickie' charity in Dundalk.
The main trophy is the Conor Morgan Perpetual Trophy, donated in 2019 by Conors family. This year, we have introduced the "Sean Maguire Player of the Tournament" Trophy and the "Twinky Toes Top Scorer" award, to ensure all 3 lads are equally remembered on the day.
