Connor's journey to South Africa and beyond!

Hello , my name is Connor and I'm 15 years old from Dunkeswell in Devon. I attend Uffculme secondary school and have a huge passion for Cricket!

It started out with one of my dad's friends letting me tag along to a local cricket club when I was 6 years old and I have never really looked back.

One of my main enjoyments is learning and developing new skills within the sport. On field my positions are Batsman / Wicket keeper. My cricketing journey started off playing for Culmstock juniors and progressing through the various age groups from Dynamos to this year under 15s. I also play senior cricket for Kilmington cricket club where last year I made 11 appearances for the 1st team in the Devon cricket A division. I have also had the opportunity to represent my county Devon on many occasions since 2022 which I very much enjoy the challenges that are set and the progression this allows me to achieve.

In October 2024 I secured a squad place in the 2025 devon under 15s for which I am very grateful to have been given the opportunity and I am looking forward to the challenges ahead. I have also been fortunate enough to have been selected as one of a 14 person squad to represent Devon county under 15s on a cricket tour to South Africa where we will play multiple matches against likeminded opposition and we also get to explore the surroundings in Kruger national park and Cape Town , whilst also learning about South African culture.

The 17 day tour is an opportunity of a lifetime and something I am really excited about but also honoured to be part of this prestigious event.

The tour comes with a cost of £3375.00 and all players have been encouraged to seek sponsorship / funding to contribute for their place.

With the help of my parents I am planning some fundraising events also.
