Hello,
My name is Jeff. My best friend is fighting a battle nobody can understand and I need everyone's help! He's the handsome guy standing in the middle of the picture holding his younger brother. The family is dealing with a lot of pain and I want to help out as much as I can!
This is the story from his mother Stephanie:
"I am not one to normally reach out to ask anyone for anything, but today I am. My oldest, Connor, was found by his girlfriend hanging from the archway in my kitchen this afternoon, an attempted suicide. Right now he is in ICU an unresponsive coma. All signs are indicative of a spinal cord injury but i am still waiting on the CT results. Now it’s a waiting game for swelling to subside and see if there is any voluntary response. From the bottom of my heart please please pray for him. Just. feel. completely. shattered.
Update: 1:12 am First, I would like to extend my gratitude to each and everyone of you that came to my aid with prayers, hugs, texts/ messages or company. I am extremely grateful for the outpouring of love that my friends have For me and my family. I’m forever grateful.
As of this afternoon, Connor is being kept in a medically induced coma, however, he is still not breathing on his own. Swelling has started and although the CT scan does not show any abnormalities we still don’t know for sure if there is or isn’t a spinal cord injury. The doctor suspects he has sustained some brain damage but to what extent we don’t know yet. His core temperature is being kept at 36° so there is no further damage done to his brain or any cellular break down. This will continue through tomorrow until 7 PM and then they will start the warming process and then they will begin to test for neurological responses. At this juncture we just don’t know what he is aware of or can feel or not feel because of the sedation. I asked that you please continue to keep him in your prayers. He is a strong young man and will come out of this fighting!"
We all know Insurance can only do so much. A little donation goes along ways! Please help my best friend and his family make Connors recovery faster and less stressful as it is!
