Support for Connor’s Recovery & Our Family During Crisis
Hi everyone,
It’s incredibly difficult for me to write this. I’ve never asked for help before, but right now, my family truly needs it. My 11-year-old son, Connor, is going through something no parent ever wants to witness, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your support.
Our Story
I’m a hardworking single father raising two amazing kids currently and have raised 8 kids adopting 3 as well. I own my own business (Adam’s Automotive Repair) and also work with V8 Auto Sales. As a small business owner, I don’t have access to benefits like paid leave or health insurance. I’ve always done my best to provide for my family and to help others without expecting anything in return.
What Happened to Connor
Last Wednesday, Connor suffered a massive seizure that lasted over 75 minutes. After extensive testing, doctors diagnosed him with a severe case of meningitis. The infection had built up dangerously in the frontal lobe of his brain, and he underwent emergency brain surgery that same day.
Despite initial hopes, the infection worsened, and doctors had to open up the top of his skull for a second major surgery. He just had another MRI to determine if further procedures will be necessary. After this procedure, they noticed inflammation on the C1 and C2 on his spine. They want to wait a couple of days before they proceed with another surgrey because he has been through so much already. His face is so swollen , but he is a champ.
Connor is a bright, kind, and happy kid who just graduated 5th grade at Stevens Elementary — on the honor roll, no less. He loves learning and always lights up any room he’s in. Seeing him like this is heartbreaking.
How You Can Help
Between hospital stays, brain surgeries, MRI scans, and ongoing treatment, our medical bills are already well over $100,000 — and that’s not counting the time I will need to take off work (at least three months) to focus entirely on Connor’s care and rehabilitation.
Your donation, no matter the amount, will help cover:
• Medical bills and procedures
• Connor’s ongoing rehab and recovery
• Basic living expenses for our family while I am unable to work
• Transportation and accommodations near the hospital, if needed
From My Heart to Yours
I’ve spent my life helping others — now, I’m humbly asking for help in return. Every prayer, every kind thought, and every dollar means the world to us. I’ll be the only one managing this GoFundMe and will keep everyone updated throughout Connor’s journey.
Thank you so much for your love and support.
With gratitude,
Adam
