Connor was in a severe collision in their father's care in 2020. They suffered a traumatic brain injury, and that injury is presenting some deep mental health and educational challenges in the present. Connor has been in their mother's full custody since August 2021, and has been in outpatient and inpatient care during that time. Connor's mother has taken a great deal of time off of work to manage the aftermath of the immediate crash, and the unexpected long term effects of their traumatic brain injury. Connor's father has refused mediation, and refuses to change the custody and support agreements made eight years ago that no longer apply to the current needs of the children of involved. This is detrimental to Connor in a multitude of ways.
