Zappi to help Connor kick cancer's ass

Connor Kirk is one of Zappi’s finest; he (somehow) only joined us just over a year ago, but has quickly become synonymous with all of the great things about who we are as a company. If you’ve ever spent any time on a call, in person or on a project with him, you know him to be the problem-solving, helpful, quick-witted (at times savagely so), positive and brilliant force that he is as an integral part of our RevOps team and overall Zappi culture.

As some of you know, Connor is in the early stages of being diagnosed with and undergoing treatment for stage 4 colon cancer. There's no other way to say it: it royally fucking sucks. But Connor is ready to fight and tackle this thing head on, and we’re going to rally in his corner to help where we can.

In an effort to help where we can to lessen the burden on Connor and his girlfriend Brenna, we have set up this GoFundMe for donations as well as a MealTrain page - giving people the opportunity to bring or send them meals (or send gift cards) so he can keep up his strength and put his focus fully into kicking this thing's ass.

Connor is strong and motivated and very comfortable if you want to reach out to chat personally or just check in - he appreciates the family Zappi brings and knows we are in his corner through this fight.

Update: September 1, 2022: Riding for Connor

Thanks for your continued support for Connor! It’s been absolutely amazing to see so many people show up for and rally around him. :heart:

We’ve organized a fundraising to give people an opportunity to actively show up for him and show their support. CycleBar Assembly Row (Sommerville, Boston) will be hosting a 45 minute long cycling class on Sunday, September 25 at 12 pm with all proceeds benefiting Connor and his medical expenses.

We're asking for a minimum of $25 donation in order to participate. If you are not physically located in the Boston area or would like to participate virtually, you can run/walk/cycle/hike/swim and make a donation to Connor's GoFundMe page with the message “Riding for Connor” as a part of your donation so he can see all of the folks on this (virtual) team showing up right alongside him.

For those of you in the Boston area, please contact the organizer with your first and last name and she will assign you a bike and help get you set up with a CycleBar account.
