Hi, I’m Connor Kurtz. I was diagnosed with adrenal cancer in September of 2023, and after an unsuccessful surgery in October my diagnosis was found to be an adult neuroblastoma. Neuroblastoma is a common cancer in young children, but extremely rare in twenty year olds. Because of its exclusivity, the prognosis is unfortunately poor for most cases, and I was no different. However after 5 rounds of chemotherapy, and the discovery of a rare genetic mutation I have, my medical team has successfully reduced my tumor’s size significantly and made complete resection an obtainable goal. With my second surgery ahead, as well as stem cell transplant, radiation therapy and immunotherapy, we ask for your help supporting me and my caretakers through this difficult journey.
