Connor’s Long Covid Fight
Donation protected
At 24 years of age and healthy, Connor was finishing up his soccer career with the Milwaukee Torrent (a local semi-professional soccer team) and was an active student in nursing school. He loves the outdoors and working out. He is the most caring, humble, loving person you will meet.
On 9/19/22 Connor got sick with Covid. After a typical bout with covid, he started experiencing severe symptoms of dysautonomia on 9/25/22. Some of his symptoms included:
- Weakness
- Balance problems
- Inability to sweat
- Noise/light sensitivity
- Exercise intolerance
- Sleeping problems
- Brain fatigue from mental and emotional exertion
- Constant fight/flight response
- Fast heart rate/heart palpitations
He continued to try and work out, but if he pushed too hard, he would experience extreme exhaustion which would cause a worsening of his condition.
As of today, Connor has been bedridden since 12/24/22. He was diagnosed with “post-viral autonomic neuropathy/long covid.” We decided to share his story through his caring bridge website in hopes of raising awareness of long covid; as well as, letting others know they are not alone if they are going through a similar situation due to covid.
Connor is a fighter, and any love, support or advice is greatly appreciated!
