Hello! This request is only going out to a small number of clients, soul family and ones who have been of great support to me in the past. Perhaps I even contributed to your GoFundMe at a time you needed help. Today, I need some help. I choose not to broadcast this on social media; rather to communicate directly with those whom I have touched with my healing work, or some other form of intentional support.

2.5 weeks ago, on the Solstice, I was in a wreck in the mountains of NC, and my van was totaled. I was injured enough to not be able to work much- as you know, my work is very physical, very involved, and all of it involves my hands- bodywork, teaching yoga & playing instruments.

I am now in need of donations to help me complete a Shamanic Rites of Passage 16 month program in September- the culminating event of which is a 10 Day Vision Quest in New Mexico. During this I will be fasting, alone, in the desert mountains, with no tent. Just water and my Spirit Guides. I have gone through 13 months of the program already. This program has had an immeasurable impact on my maturity as a Medicine Woman and breadth of skills as a Healer. Vision Quest is the last ceremonial rite to complete. Ordeal Medicine at its best!

The Vision Quest is the piece of work I will complete after 16 months of intense ceremony, ritual and teachings of the Lakota of North America, and the Dagara Tribes of Burkina Faso. We have spent our months in spiritual, emotional and ceremonial preparation for Quest. The costs associated with this final Rite of Passage is $2300. I'd hoped to work a lot this summer to finance that, but now I am faced with the unexpected, immediate need to purchase another van, at a time when I have to let my right hand, wrist, hip and ankle heal. The way in which I work requires me to offer my strongest body, heart and energy to the session. I have to allow myself the same advice I would give any client after a wreck: "self care and rest is the key to healing. "
