We are sad to announce that Connie passed away on Wednesday August 21, 2019 in Guangzhou, China after a long battle with cancer. Below is her story, unaltered. The proceeds from this fundraiser will be rerouted to support her family and aid in her memorial services. Your continuous support warms our hearts. Please know that we appreciate you all. #ConnieWongStrong

Hello! My name is Connie and I have been battling Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma for over 6 years now. Treatment has been non-stop and I have only been in remission for a total of only 3 months during this whole long journey. My cancer has now become metastatic and is in my neck, chest, abdomen and in my lower back as bony lesions. It is with heavy heart that my family and I have decided to seek treatment in China as my cancer is extremely common there. My mother and I are looking to move as late as mid-August and with such short notice, we do not have much savings to support my treatment there. We are not ones to ask for financial help, but we have to come to the point of needing to ask for assistance. This is a huge move and I will not have insurance to cover the medical expenses I will come across. I know that a treatment I have had in the past cost over $10,000 a dose, but thankfully my insurance was able to cover that; so I can only imagine the expenses I will be needing to spend in the future. We plan to hopefully be overseas for 6 months up to a year, but it is uncertain how long we will truly need to stay. My mother will be unable to work to support me while I'm there, so we can only rely on our savings. Any donation would be greatly appreciated! Thank you for taking the time to read this!
With the greatest sincerity,
Connie <3
PS. If you would rather venmo or PayPal me instead, I also have those.

It's been a very long journey and hopefully with your generosity, it can finally come to a joyous end. <3
