Connie Holloway's recovery from a stroke

Hi all. In this season of giving and sharing time with our families and those we love, I wanted to share a story of two amazing people that I am privileged to call friends.

Todd and Connie Holloway live in a little town just south of Atlanta. They are proud parents to 3 daughters, a son and doting grandparents to 5 grand babies! Over the course of their marriage they have made a habit of unselfish service to others. Whether it be opening doors to family members in time of need, or mentoring kids in their roles as educator, coach, or any capacity, they always have found room in their hearts to help others. It's no wonder that they have been asked to be godparents by many kids who have had the good fortune of being in a class with them as they have had kids of their own. Unselfish service to others is as essential to Todd and Connie as oxygen.

On December 4th, Connie suffered a stroke that has left her hospitalized and facing 1-2 years of therapy to return to normal life. This event has left Todd, and the rest of Connie's family, reeling as they are having to grapple with a new normal and navigate the healthcare system as they map out Connie's recovery. While the prognosis for Connie's recovery is good, the road ahead will be long and difficult and will require the support of her entire family.

As they settle into this new normal, we have set up this fundraiser to help Connie recover and to help Todd and family lighten the financial burden that has been suddenly thrust on them.

We have set a modest goal of $5,000 as a show of support.

All of us have had someone in our lives who made a difference. Someone who took extra time for us when we needed help. Someone who showed us how to do something, or gave an extra word of encouragement when we needed it. Todd and Connie have been that "someone" to countless people over the years. It would give me great joy to see that favor returned.
