Hi friends, 

I’m raising funds for my cousin, Conner. From a very young age, Conner has battled Alport Syndrome, a genetic condition that causes kidney failure. At just 16 years old, he went through his first kidney transplant—a life-saving gift that gave him the chance to grow up, fall in love, and build a family of his own.

Recently, Conner had to undergo his second kidney transplant. I’m so thankful for the doctors and the donor who made this possible, and for the strength Conner has shown throughout his journey. More than anything, I’m grateful that he can continue being the amazing husband and father he is to his two young daughters, who absolutely adore their dad.

What many people don’t realize is that transplant surgery is only part of the battle. Conner will need costly anti-rejection medications for the rest of his life, as well as frequent follow-up appointments and hospital visits. On top of that, recovery means time away from work, (and he’s already exhausted all of his leave time) which makes it harder to keep up with regular household expenses for his family.

This fundraiser is to help ease that financial strain so Conner can focus on what truly matters, his health and his family. Donations will go directly toward medical expenses not covered by insurance, the medications he must take daily, and supporting his family while he recovers.
