On Oct. 13, 2016 my beautiful little baby boy Conner was born! On the outside he looked just like all the other new healthy babies, but on the inside he was far from it. Conner was born with Complex Congenital Heart Defect, Hetorxaty, and Asplenia. Within 24 hours of life he had to leave me and go to Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital in St. Louis to have tests run. Within 72 hours of life I was told his heart could not be repaired and he needed a heart transplant! Meanwhile, the doctors put him on a several medications that would keep him alive until he could be placed on the tranplant list, and wait for a new heart. On Oct 26. he was listed and the wait began. We had good days and bad days while we waited, and just prayed he would live to get a new heart. With the love of a donor family and the grace of God I got the call that a heart was available for him on Dec. 16, 2016!! The wonderful, talented heart surgeons at Cardinal Glennon spent 12 hours putting a new heart in my sweet baby, and by that evening I was able to be by his side again. Now he needed time to recover, and at this point he is still in the hospital trying to get strong and healthy enough to come home. Conner is now 3 months old and has still never been home, but I am hopeful that day will come soon! As I say this the medical bills are starting to come in and I am a single mother trying to make it all work. My little Conner will come home on 12 medications a day, need to go to a lot of medical appointments, and be on anti rejection medications for his entire life to keep his body from rejecting his heart. I am hoping to be able to raise money to help with his current medical expenses. As well as his on going and future medical needs. I have been told he will need more medical procedures on his arteries, as well as his malrotated intestines. This will be a life long battle for him! Any money donated will go directly to his medical care for medications, and medical bills.

Thank you so much for reading Conner's story, and we are always in need of prayers!
