Conner's Heart Surgery

Mandy Vaughn and I have been friends since kindergarten. She is the mother of three children, two of which were born with congenital heart defects. I am starting this GoFundMe page on behalf of her son, Conner. They need our help. Conner, a lively, fun-loving 13-year-old, has had seven open heart surgeries, the first of which was performed when he was only two days old.

Recently, Conner's medical team has decided that his mechanic aortic valve is failing, and he is now in need of his third aortic valve replacement. This is significant because Conner only has half a heart, making him single ventricle. This valve is his heart's lifeline. Conner needs open heart surgery again.

There is no other option. 

Mandy hoped that the surgery could be performed sometime in January after the holiday season, but his doctor informed her that it needs to be done by the end of this month. So, Conner has his pre-op appointment tomorrow, and his heart surgery scheduled for Nov. 27th. They have complete faith & trust in his doctor. He has skillfully operated on Conner's complex heart many times before.

Due to medicine that Conner must take daily and previous medical treatments, bills are of course mounting, and with this newest surgery needed, Conner, Mandy, and their family need our help.
