My name is Monica, and I am fundraising on behalf of the Connell family. Our families have been friends for over a decade and have helped each other through life’s many ups and downs. Unfortunately, Tim has been diagnosed with Prostate cancer. He will begin Proton Therapy, a form of radiation, very soon. This form of treatment will take place in Jacksonville 5 days a week for about 8 weeks. This will not only cause a strain on him physically but also financially. Tim is a very proud man who loves his family more than life itself. The financial strain of the incoming medical bills is weighing heavy on him and his family. They are lucky to have insurance, but unfortunately, it only covers so much. Medical bills tend to add up quickly and insurmountable. Once Tim starts the proton therapy treatment, he will be unable to work due to traveling back and forth to Jacksonville 5 days a week.

Cancer is not something anyone can plan for, and it can turn anyone’s world upside down. Tim is a hard-working family man who is struggling to put himself and his health first.
