Passing the Hat for Way of the Rose

For our online fellowship the only expenses that we incur are our website hosting and our zoom accounts--so that everyone can have access to Our Lady’s messages and our rosary circles.

Managing all of this--security, updates, the messages, circles on zoom and in person, the ever-changing calendar, the ten thousand questions of zoom hosts--is our Web Mistress Kimberly Saward. She spins and maintains the web that allows us all to connect and pray with each other.

*She initiated our ever-growing meeting calendar—and manages it on a daily basis. This involves a great deal of daily work, making sure everyone has what they need to be able to find a rosary circle that works for them.

*She guides new circle hosts through the Five Petals of a Way of the Rose circle and helps them get started. Again, this takes a lot of work.

*She uploads and curates all of the messages from Our Lady of Woodstock on the website.

*She uploads our videos and new materials and keeps it all organized. Check out all of the new features on the website for sure!

*She overseas security and back up. (this is huge and essential)

*She helps us connect even more easily with each other. Check out our new In-Person Circle list!

We would not have accessible phone and zoom meetings without Kimberly's efforts. You would not be able to watch the videos or read the messages without Kimberly. You would not know about any of the novenas without Kimberly.

At in-person meetings we pass the hat each meeting to pay for rental space. We are now passing the hat to pay for Kimberly maintaining our digital space on the internet that allows us to connect and pray together. If you have come to a meeting in the past year, please consider putting something into the hat.

This year we are asking for a little less, as the social media tides ebb and flow. We pay Kimberly, the only paid member of WOTR, $425 a month to manage all of this and to be on speed dial for our ever-changing needs. We are also factoring in $300 for our two coordinated Zoom accounts that make meetings much easier to negotiate. We are also factoring in fees for using this gofundme platform. We are asking for $5,800 total.

Please donate whatever you can. We know that for some $5 is significant and for others $100 is quite doable. If you enjoy the content on Way of the Rose and come to meetings donate what you can. If everyone who is in the novena group gave $5 we would easily meet our goal. But there are always those who can easily give more--and those for whom even that is a challenge. Give what you can.

This campaign will run from May 16 - June 16 or until we meet our goal. We will not raise funds in excess of this amount and we will keep no "extra" on reserve.

We only pass the hat once a year for our digital commons.
