Connect to Rome and the Vatican in my Roots

Hello and thank you for looking. My name is Mabel Regis and I was born in London, England. I was brought up in the awe of Catholicism and now I want to visit Rome and the Vatican to explore in person its history and its link in my heart to my parents' country, St Lucia.

I had retreated from understanding this part of my heritage and I want to find out more. This brought in finding out about my genealogy. I did not know the names of all my grandparents on both sides. I am starting on these roots. What more during this tour, I will find out.

And now it is a historical moment, a coincidence that I am doing it this year as it is also the 25th Jubilee and I want to witness this moment. I hope with this understanding to be more able to talk from the heart of different ways to look at this world from true compassion. And be part of making a difference in the communities where I live. I am intrigued and excited. Do join me in this venture.

The funds will pay for the tour as I will visit sites in Rome, the Vatican and Assisi. I had tried other ways to raise the money and time is running out to pay the hotel, guide expenses (£1,450) and travel costs apart from the flight ((£350) by 22nd May. Yes, this month.

You will be part of my journey as I will write about my experiences over the first 8 days of June.
