Hi my name is Gordie Stringer. I am a retired Canadian Forces Armoured Corps Soldier. I have started this GoFundMe event for my Brother from another mother, Retired Warrant Officer Steve Connauton CD. Steve is struggling with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. He currently lives in Texas. Think American healthcare? Steve's share of this financial burden has become too much to bear. Not one to ever ask for this help, for he signed an Oath years ago to unselfishly serve his country, Steve is proud Soldier.

This struggle would be greatly eased and Steve's remaining years could be lived in relative peace. A peace he devoted the first half of his life to preserving.
