Conklin Family House Fire

On Friday, December 14, 2018, while the family was away at Anja’s gig, Andy and Anne Conklin’s house in Malabar, Florida caught fire. The fire is believed to have started in the attic, burning through the kitchen and filling the house with smoke. The house is 100% smoke damaged, and the roof, all drywall, and all flooring will need to be replaced. While Andy, Anne, Dakota, and Anja were safely away, their canine and feline family members were in the home and tragically did not make it.

Andy, Anne, Anja, and Dakota are known for their humor, kindness, and resilience, but right now, they need your help. Losing a home, and pets, is emotionally draining and very stressful, made even more challenging due to the daunting and expensive task of rebuilding. It is especially difficult to be in such a sense of limbo during the holiday season, so at this time, we humbly ask if anyone could help the Conklin family through this heartbreaking situation.
