Coni's Campaign

Donation protected
Last night on March 30, 2017, the world lost an incredible person. Coni was suddenly stricken with a bad case of pneumonia that manifested into numerous other problems and took over her body in a matter of days. There was always a small amount of hope that she would pull through, but her quality of life after recovery would have been virtually empty. Being such a vibrant and lively person, she absolutely did not ever want to be living off of machines, or having to be catered to while in a debilitated state. We made a decision as a family to respect her wish and let her sleep with no more suffering. Her passing was comfortable, painless, and just poetically beautiful.

Coni was known for her kind soul and her ability to accept everyone and everything the way it was. She touched more people than we could count and it was something you already knew when you met her. Her power to uplift was unmatched. She birthed 3 children but she raised a hundred. She was the one you went to for insight, for comfort, for laughter, for the honest truth. Coni was a realist in every sense of the word. She was the strongest human being I have personally met and you will hear the same from anyone you ask. She has passed but she will never leave us, for the impact she made on the earth was remarkable.

"Such is life", she would always say. So here we are. This tragic turn in our lives have left the family heartbroken but not defeated. Nonetheless, as everyone knows, the bills for post-tragedy events are not something that's easy to deal with. She was an extremely talented artist and her business was a huge part of her life. Coni and her husband, Stan, created a tropical empire and we would be doing her a disservice if we let that leave with her. Any contributions to the family would help with medical bills, making sure her art and her business never skip a beat, and all of the terrible things one must do to recover financially from such a horrible setback. Anything and everything helps, and is enormously appreciated.

If I asked my mother what we should all do now, she would just tell me to live the life you love, and love the life you live.
