Congress of the Birds Wildlife Clinic
update 4/22: we’ve met this goal, but if you want to donate to the clinic, just Venmo Sheida at @sheidasoleimani
thanks!
Hi All,
This year, thanks to donations from friends and family alone, I surprised Sheida by building her a new bird clinic for her birthday. I knew that because Sheida finds animal care to be a form of self-care, this present would mean so much to her, and it has in so many ways. I'm rewriting this GoFundMe page so that it can serve as a place to give towards day-to-day supplies for the clinic, which are listed on the Amazon Wish List linked to below.
As far as giving goes, please give what you can, if you can. This is not simply a gift for one person, but a gift for the Providence and Rhode Island as well; Sheida is the only wild bird rehabilitator in Providence County (pop. 638,000). By allowing this clinic to function at a high level every summer, she will be able to care for and save a greater number of birds each summer (more than the 400-500 she currently cares for). Furthermore, she will also be better equipped to train in volunteers and give them an opportunity to earn their own rehabbing licenses.
Best,
Jon
P.S. Here's a link to our Amazon Wish List (click here). If you'd prefer simply to buy something from it, feel free! If you'd like to give something towards one of the pricier items, we'd also be extremely appreciative.
