Hi! I'm Emilia, a 22-year-old passionate neuroscience student from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). Besides my love for sports, what truly excites me is the world of science, where knowledge is shared and expanded to improve our lives.

This year, I've had the incredible opportunity to be accepted into the University of Geneva, a world-renowned institution in the field of neuroscience. Here, I will be able to focus on my main area of interest: functional connectivity of the brain and how it develops from infancy.

My passion not only lies in research but also in the education and well-being of children. I firmly believe that by better understanding brain development in childhood, we can create interventions and educational programs that help children reach their full potential. At the University of Geneva, I will have the opportunity to immerse myself in projects that aim precisely at this: improving children's lives through science.

However, achieving this dream comes with its challenges. Moving to a new country and dedicating myself to such an intensive field of study requires resources that I currently do not have. This is why I am reaching out to you.

To make this dream a reality, I am organizing a fundraising campaign. The funds raised will allow me to cover the costs of my trip and stay in Geneva, enabling me to fully dedicate myself to my research and learning.

I know that this year has been difficult for many, and asking for help is never easy. ¡Hola! Soy Emilia, tengo 22 años y soy una estudiante de neurociencias de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). Además de mi amor por el deporte, lo que realmente me apasiona es el mundo de la ciencia, donde el conocimiento se comparte y se expande para mejorar nuestras vidas.

Este año, he tenido la increíble oportunidad de ser aceptada en la Universidad de Ginebra, una institución de renombre mundial en el campo de la neurociencia. Aquí, podré centrarme en mi principal área de interés: la conectividad funcional del cerebro y cómo ésta se desarrolla desde la infancia.

Mi pasión no solo reside en la investigación, sino también en la educación y el bienestar de los niños. Creo firmemente que comprendiendo mejor el desarrollo del cerebro en la infancia, podemos crear intervenciones y programas educativos que ayuden a los niños a alcanzar su máximo potencial. En la Universidad de Ginebra, tendré la oportunidad de empaparme en proyectos que buscan precisamente eso: mejorar la vida de los niños a través de la ciencia.

Sin embargo, alcanzar este sueño viene con sus desafíos. Mudarse a un nuevo país y dedicarse a un campo de estudio tan intensivo requiere recursos que actualmente no tengo. Por eso, me dirijo a ti.

Para hacer realidad este sueño, estoy organizando una recaudación de fondos. Los fondos recaudados me permitirán cubrir los gastos de mi viaje y estancia en Ginebra, permitiéndome dedicarme por completo a mi investigación y aprendizaje.

Sé que este año ha sido difícil para muchos, y pedir ayuda nunca es fácil. Pero creo en el poder de la comunidad y en la generosidad de las personas que entienden el valor de la educación y el avance científico.
